Pioneer Nuclear was named after Pioneer Valley in New England. Two nuclear power plants, Connecticut Yankee and Vermont Yankee, once had operated alongside the Connecticut River for 28 and 42 years, respectively, generating a combined 281 billion kilowatts before being decommissioned. Our headquarters in Windsor, CT is located in this pristine region. Windsor was once a site for the S1C Prototype Reactor development, a U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Navy joint program.

Pioneer Nuclear is an American owned company. Our mission is doubling current American nuclear capacity (100Gw) by 2036.
