Two nuclear power plants, Connecticut Yankee and Vermont Yankee, once had operated alongside the Connecticut River for 28 and 42 years, respectively, generating a combined 281 billion kilowatts before being decommissioned. Our headquarters in Windsor, CT is located in this pristine region. Windsor was once a site for the S1C Prototype Reactor development, a U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Navy joint program.
